Michael Kvium (born 1955) is best known for his paintings in which he has created an extremely individual figurative iconography and style. Less known are his fantastic watercolours and drawings, a part of his production that has always been of importance to him. In these he explores ideas and thought processes, and they possess a spontaneity and creative joy that oil paintings can never display. We feel how close we come to him as artist. We enter his absurd world in which everything is malformed and verging on the grotesque.
We do not represent the artist. Works are from the secondary market.
