Made in conjunction with Banksy´s preparations for Brit Pop band Blur´s album called "Think Tank".
This work was gifted by Banksy to a helper. The work is accompanied by a signed letter that names the previous owner. A description of the work, the process with the artist the place and the date in 2003 where the wall paintings for the cover were cpnceived.. We also have one of the original test sprays on thin cardboard. This piece on wood is complete. Various examples are known to exist. See photos for reference. Some in London, others Australia and unknown locations (Dragon Bar in Shoreditch, Londona lileky location).
(We have the complete name that identifies the previous owner as a known Banksy helper in the early years. He was part ot the two "Can´s Festival" arranged by Banksy and he has helped Banksy on various projects. Photos of different variations.
This work is considered a street work or street related work so not eligible for formal certification. One of the last photos is of a similar stencil on outdoor metal doors. Probably from Harvey Haddock. Haddock´s son Orson received one of the paintings as well.
Photo 4: Here another example of how the artist in his process reuses the various stencils with new additions. Notice that the diving helmet is the same as the male diver in Tank Lovers. Now with a ponytail added so he suddenly becomes a mother. There are also examples of earlier and later additions and improvements to stencils.
