Literature

It is noteworthy that James Warhola, who is an illustrator, includes in his children’s book Uncle Andy’s – Perfect Picture Book Friday several illustrations depicting, among other things, a visit to Warhol’s Silver Factory, where his uncle Andy is shown painting a large Campbell’s Soup Can on paper. He also recalls a later memory in which young James has a sizeable Campbell’s Pepper Pot image hanging on the wall of his bedroom.

The most striking element, however, is the reproduction of James’s birthday card to his Uncle Andy, dated 6 August 1962, in which he draws and depicts a Campbell’s Pepper Pot Soup Can. This is particularly interesting because Warhol did not release the larger-format suite of Pepper Pot lithographs (edition of 250) until 1968. This suggests the existence of a Pepper Pot work on paper — in a paper format considerably larger than the small canvases but with the exact same image and image size — prior to the well-known lithographic series.

The Independent, October 29th 2002 in an article:

"Warhol, who dropped the "a" from his Slovakian surname when he moved to New York from his home town of Pittsburgh, painted Campbell's Soup Can (Pepper Pot) in 1961 and gave it to Paul to celebrate the birth of his son, Marty.

Over the years, each of Paul's seven children took the 20in by 15in canvas to school to show off the talents of their uncle, who rightly predicted that it would "one day be worth millions". Only one other similar-sized Warhol painting of a Campbell's soup can exists. But it is unfinished and belongs to the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, making the picture being auctioned at Christie's in New York on 13 November the only one ever likely to be offered for sale.".

This article goes for the small canvas. And again Paul Constantine Warhola (as one of the seven children) is connected to the image.
