The scissor stencils provide a good introduction to the artist's methods. 3 stencils are enough to form squares with scissors that cut both ways. Stencils are inverted and sprayed from both sides mirrored.

Haddock was also used by Banksy as the model for the famous Banksy painting “Nighthawks” depicting a drunk Englishman (Harvey Haddock) who has thrown a chair in the window of the bar in Edward Hoppers famous painting Nighthawks.
A photo exists of Harvey Haddock as he is working on the exhibition “Crude Oils” that opened at 100 Westbourne Grove in London and was Banksy’s second major exhibition, after Turf War in 2003. It featured 20 versions of classical oil paintings, among them Van Gogh, Hopper, Warhol, Turner and Monet. Also present were 200 live rats and some interesting sculptures. See photos.

All street works are to be considered as "attributed" to. It means to consider as made by the one indicated especially with the strong evidence but in the absence of 100 % conclusive proof. And sold as such. Same goes for barter traded works, gifted works from the artist. Works left behind at sites, in friends apartments in the early years and so on.

"This is a letter to confirm that the Banksy and scissor stencil were left at my house whilst I was working with Banksy around 2002-2003.
They were both used in Hackney and other places in east London.
I am now prepared to sell these pieces."
