One of the 105 Brillo Boxes produced posthomously by Pontus Hulten allegedly with the verbal agreement from Andy Warhol.
They caused quite a stir in 2007 and the AWAAB decided to down grade this box type. How ever in our opinion that will change in the future. Pontus Hulten has claimed to the day he died that he had an agreement with Andy Warhol to do the boxes. Only he finished the edition not in 1968 but in 1990. It´s a very interesting story. And not all has surfaced yet. Take the Pasadena types from 1970. Andy allowed for 100 to be produced with the express intention that all 100 stayed in the collection. They do to this day. But in the Raisonne an extra 16 boxes are listed. Where is the written agreement to do an extra 16? And so on....
